WARNING: ALWAYS INSTALL A GROUNDING STRAP across the valve from pipe to pipe.
The SmartWaterValve will NOT conduct electric current and metallic pipes are sometimes used or may be used as a substitute for a Ground Fault line. If the pipe is now or could ever be used as a ground in the future, to prevent the possibility of electrocution, ALWAYS INSTALL A GROUNDING STRAP across the valve from pipe to pipe.
The three below photos show the right and wrong way to install the threaded valve. Always install a grounding strap across the valve to prevent the possibility of electrocution.
